CCPA & CPRA
California privacy rights and how to exercise them with Open Doors.
Last updated: 24 April 2026
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) gives California residents specific rights over personal information about them. This page explains how those rights apply when you use Open Doors.
Does Open Doors sell personal information?
No. We do not sell personal information for monetary value and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Even so, California residents can formally opt out of sale or sharing as a precaution — the mechanism is below.
Your rights
- Right to know — what personal information we have, where it came from, why we have it, and who we disclosed it to.
- Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we hold, subject to exceptions (fraud detection, legal obligations, internal uses aligned with your expectations).
- Right to correct — fix inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out — of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share, but you may still submit).
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we use sensitive categories only for the purposes permitted by the CPRA.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a lesser service because you exercised a right.
How to exercise your rights
Two ways to submit a request:
- Email privacy@opendoors.ai with the subject line “California Privacy Request”.
- Call our toll-free support line (listed on /contact) and ask the agent to open a CCPA ticket.
We verify your identity before acting. For requests on behalf of a household member or someone who has authorised you as an agent, we require signed authorisation plus proof of identity. We respond within 45 days; complex requests may take up to 90 days with written notice.
Global Privacy Control
Open Doors honours the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing for users whose rights apply. You do not need a separate request if your browser sends GPC.
Role when you use Open Doors to message Californians
When you use the Services to contact your own customers, you are the business under the CCPA for the personal information about those customers. Open Doors acts as your service provider. You remain responsible for the disclosures and opt-out mechanisms required of a California business.
